Live Earth 07.07.07

Today is Earth Awareness day all over the world, with concerts organized to support this initiative of Al Gore's. I've been watching it all day long, ever since last night, when concerts started in Sydney and Tokyo, the transmissions from all around the globe, London, Hamburg, Johannesburg, New York and Rio de Janeiro. And I have signed the Earth Pledge, and I invite you to do the same. Here is the link.
The world is in action, to be honest, and it would be a shame not to be a part of it. For the future, for the earth we leave to our children, for our own health while living on Earth, I invite you to take small steps and to become aware and make other aware of the global warming that affects the earth right now. This is history in making, and not in destroying.
I am proud to say that I don't own a car, that I use public transportation, and I am a big fan of the subway, I try walking to work everyday, I air-dry my laundry after using warm and not hot water, my apartment does not have air-conditioning. What can I do more? I will give up those ugly plastic bags that I receive at the grocer's, and replace them with reusable ones. I will recycle more, I will use only rechargeable batteries, I will change the light bulls to the ones that are more efficient, I will turn the lights off when not needed. Every single little thing counts. And every single person who is made aware of the gravity of this matter and takes one step away from pollution is a great thing!
And if you want to find out more about things that you can do to change something in the world today, please go to this website and you will find so much information, so many everyday actions that you can do and that can and will make a difference in the long run.
Save the Earth!
